Catching a drink at your local watering hole is nice and all, but why not try some of the best wine and cocktails Dallas has to offer? Look no further, we laid out a few hip spots to help you and your significant other unwind.

•SODA Bar – Located on South Lamar, this retro and industrial inspired hotel roof bar is unlike anything in Dallas. With an exceptional view of the Dallas skyline and handcrafted cocktails, you are sure to have a great time.
• Adair’s Saloon – If a more laid back bar is more your scene, Adair’s Saloon in Deep Ellum is just the place. This little watering hole has it all: live country music, delicious bar bites and the crowd to match.
• Milo Butterfinger’s – This long-running Dallas tavern located on SMU Boulevard serves up some of the best southern eats and drinks you can find in Dallas. Don’t let the location throw you off, Milo Butterfinger’s is about as unpretentious as it gets.
• Library Bar – This lavish, hotel-based lounge & piano bar serving classic cocktails & a creative American menu is indeed a great way to branch out in Dallas.
• Max’s Wine Dive – Don’t let the name fool you, Max’s Wine Dive is simply an unpretentious wine bar (it literally has a huge wine bar). The dim, relaxing and laid-back vibe makes this wine bar one for the books.
And what’s a better way to get lost in your city by going to a local Jazz club/restaurant? It checks all the boxes! It’s romantic, adventurous and different. Here are a few places in Dallas we found that you might want to give a try.

• The Balcony Club – This unique Dallas hideaway is located next to the Lakewood Theater featuring live jazz shows in a secluded and intimate setting.
• Sandaga813 – Located in the fitting Arts District in Dallas, this mellow lounge complete with a tasteful outdoor patio offers jazz, reggae & other entertainment, plus exceptional drinks.
• The Goat – If a grungy jazz and blues bar is what you’re looking for, look no further. Nestled in the Lakewood area, this neighborhood jazz bar is a staple among regulars and tourists alike.
• The Free Man – Located in Deep Ellum, The Free Man is the epitome of Cajun. This trendy joint offers up classic Cajun dishes along with nightly jazz bands. Talk about a full package deal.
• SoHo Food and Jazz – A staple in Addison, this club-like eatery offers delicious food and drinks plus live jazz every night.
We’ve had a couple drinks, listened to some jazz so let’s talk food (in case you haven’t already grabbed some grub). Dallas has an amazing variety and selection of all different kinds of food. Here’s a few of our picks:

• Kitchen LTO – Kitchen LTO is best described as a permanent “pop-up” restaurant. With changing chefs and concepts seasonally, it’s safe to say you will always be surprised. Talk about a cool concept.
• Smoky Rose – You can never go wrong with some good ole barbecue. Smoky Rose offers up some of the best barbecue Dallas has to offer, on top of unique sides, local beer and craft cocktails.
• Sprezza – Nestled in Oak Lawn, Sprezza offers gourmet pasta, pizza & other classic Italian favorites all served in a sophisticated yet cozy house.
• Chelsea Corner – Revamped, and possibly back better than ever, this local watering hole is turning heads. Located on McKinney Ave., Chelsea Corner serves up some delicious food on top of 16 local beers on tap, craft cocktails and an extensive wine list. This ain’t your momma’s Chelsea Corner.
